A Change For Once at Mitsuwa

Sanuki Sando Udon

My boyfriend and I love coming to Mitsuwa mostly for the food that's offered at the food court. Every time we go to Mitsuwa, we always opt for Santouka Ramen.  On our most recent trip to Mitsuwa, we changed it up a bit.

I've grown a liking for udon noodle lately and there happened to be an udon noodle shop in Mitsuwa that my boyfriend knew about. It was the first food place he tried at Mitsuwa and he said the food was a lot cheaper and was prepared much quicker than Santouka Ramen.

Lines were shorter.
Food was prepared faster.
Food was inexpensive.
Smaller portions.

Kakiage Tempura Udon Noodle Soup

I had the Kakiage Tempura udon noodle soup. It was udon noodle soup with what appeared to be a mini fried shrimp pancake and garnished with bits of scallion. The broth of the udon noodle was YUM-AZING! It was truly flavorful and hearty.

Curry Chicken Udon Noodle Soup
The boyfriend had this udon noodle soup. He sure has a thing for curry noodle soups. Oh my, it smelled amazing - full of curry goodness! Too bad, I passed on his offer of some curry chicken noodle soup. I should have accepted his offer and took a sip of the broth. Lesson learned.

Unfortunately I don't remember the exact price of our udon noodles, but each bowl was under $8.00, which is pretty darn cheap.

It was a small lunch, but I enjoyed it. The fact that we had udon noodles was a nice getaway and change from what my boyfriend & I typically go for at Mitsuwa.

Change is good.
